Why active clients, not per-seat?
Per-seat pricing punishes you for hiring and tempts you to under-license. Active clients track the work actually in flight — so your price rises only as your business grows. Add a designer, an intern, or ten client logins and your bill never moves.
What counts as an "active client"?
A client engagement that's live right now — measured at a point in time, never cumulative. Your tier caps how many run at once; cycle through as many over the year as you like.
Do one-off projects count forever?
No. Activate the client, deliver the project, then archive on completion — the slot frees instantly and they stop counting. Archived data is kept read-only and reactivates in one click. Run 30 one-offs a year but never more than 10 at once, and you stay on Studio.
What is the founding rate?
The first 100 Studio customers lock $29/mo for life. The next 100 lock $39/mo. Both are monthly Studio launch cohorts with up to 10 active clients, unlimited seats, and white-label portal access. Standard Studio remains $59/mo monthly or $49/mo annual.
Is there a free plan?
There is a 14-day trial with no credit card — full Studio, end to end. We have deferred a free-forever tier for now: AI employees are a real cost, and the no-card trial plus Studio launch rates already remove the signup wall.
What about AI cost?
AI employees are paid add-ons by role, not permanent bundled seats. Trial work uses a capped shared credit. Paid bands start at $19/$39/$59 for launch customers, then step to early and list rates as cohorts fill.
What if I outgrow a tier?
Archive completed client work to free a slot, or upgrade before adding the next active client. Existing records stay intact; the limit protects active operating capacity instead of deleting history.
Contract or lock-in?
None. Self-serve upgrade, downgrade, and cancel from your billing portal, month-to-month or annual. You own your data — full export of projects, clients, time, invoices, and the audit trail whenever you need it.
